Family Owned and Operated since 1978
Legg's Welding Inc. manufactures an average of 65 shuttle car frames per year, significantly more when the coal industry is booming.
We have shipped our shuttle car frames and parts to every coal producing state in the United States, and several different countries.
Over the years we have built thousands of parts for shuttle car frames such as sheave assemblies, trunnion axles and motor guards. We build our own custom designed trunnion axles and sheave assemblies that are heavier and more durable than OEM.

Legg's Welding was incorporated in 1978, by two brothers, Larry and Tom Legg. Their business started out as a small welding shop. They were given the opportunity to learn how to fabricate a shuttle car from a friend, with whom they worked for a year learning the trade. They took their new found skills in fabricating equipment to their own shop. Over the years their business and reputation in the coal equipment industry grew. They constructed a new, bigger facility to keep up with the demand for their frames in 1989. Throughout the years they have manufactured all types of shuttle car body frames, feeders, scoops, muckers, and a multitude of components.
Present day, Larry and Tom have retired, their brothers, Dennis and Kyle Legg, and Tom's, son-in-law, Trinity are the present owners.
